Beerman Begins: Appleton’s 37th Octoberfest

Local News

Appleton’s Octoberfest is turning 37 years old this year and good times are sure to be ahead.
More than 200,000 people are expected to visit downtown Appleton along College Avenue for the weekend.

It starts with a car exhibition highlighting a history of Chevy vehicles, from 1959 Impalas to 2018 Camaros.
License to Cruise is Friday, Sept. 28 from 6-9:30pm at the Fox Cities PAC.

And if beer’s all you care about–Octoberfest starts with a traditional Spaten beer toast at the Houdini Plaza stage just before 9am Saturday.
Just after 9am? Live music, stage acts, and yoga. The Family Fun Yoga session runs 9:15-10:15am on Lawrence University’s Main Hall lawn at 501 East College Avenue.

Valley Transit will offer 25 cent fares on all regular routes during Friday’s ‘License to Cruise,’ and complimentary O’Doul’s is available to anyone who chooses to be a designated driver Saturday.
