Blue Pinwheels were set-up to honor victims of child abuse

Local News

April is Child Abuse Awareness month, and 154 blue pinwheels were put up Sunday to honor children who are victims of physical and sexual abuse and neglect.

Blue represents the color for child abuse prevention.

Willow Tree Cornerstone Child Advocacy Center placed the pinwheels on their lawn to represent each young life that have been helped in 2018.

Child abuse continues to be a growing problem across the entire state.

The pinwheel reminds children that they deserve a happy, safe and great childhood.
