Boys & Girls Club to benefit from local recycling event

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) Earth Day is coming up on Monday, and Alter Metal Recycling is getting a head start by hosting an event all day Friday, and then Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon!

The business is at 2175 Badgerland Drive and anyone is able to come by with recyclable items to donate. People will also get free food, drinks and a t-shirt. Proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Green Bay. 

The club has also gotten statewide recognition for their STEAM programs. The “Enviro Explorers” program received an award for its impact and excellence. from Boys & Girls Club of America!

The program taught kids how to grow vegetables without soil, explored local parks to collect soil and water samples, identified career opportunities, and pushed our youth to experience the outdoors in some fun ways!
