Green Bay’s Southwest High School will introduce musical audiences to a world premiere show this November. Eight members of the 60-person cast stopped by Local 5 This Morning Tuesday for a live performance from The Book of Empty Pages.
The show centers around two characters, Sam and Daisy, who fall in love at the worst time.
Sam, played by Junior Matthew Wautier-Rodriguez, is dying in a long-term care facility after being injured in a drunk driving crash. Daisy, played by Senior Sachi Bebeau, is his caregiver stuck in a bad marriage.
The Book of Empty Pages was written and is being directed by Southwest High School Choral Director Brandon Rockstroh. The show not only showcases Rockstroh’s talents but allows these students to take on totally original roles.
Rockstroh was recently featured as a Local 5 ‘Terrific Teacher’. To learn more about the man behind the show and the musical itself CLICK HERE.
Performances: November 24th, November 25th, December 1st, December 2nd, and December 9th – All shows begin at 7:00 p.m. at Southwest High School in Green Bay.
