Brunch & Bark Raises Money for Area Animal Shelter

Local News

Grab your four-legged friends and come hungry because brunch is going to the dogs. The Bridgewood Resort Hotel and Conference Center in Neenah will hold Brunch & Bark every Sunday through July 1 to raise money for the Neenah Animal Shelter

Bridgewood Head Chef Brock Decker, Kay Pavlik with the Neenah Animal Shelter, and Zelda the dog joined Brittany Falkers on Local 5 This morning ahead of their first “brunchin’ for a cause” event.

Bridgewood is a pet-friendly hotel and the staff there really cares about the welfare of animals. That’s why they are teaming up with the Neenah Animal Shelter. 10 percent of all proceeds from their Sunday brunch will go back to helping to the no-kill shelter.

Sample a variety of breakfast favorites, delicious entrées, design-your-own omelets and fabulous desserts. Feel free to bring your pet along. As long as weather permits, you’re welcome to dine on their pet-friendly patio.

“We are a non-profit organization, so funds are always needed to help with the care of our animals, especially at this time of the year when are starting to have an increase in population numbers due to strays and kitten season.  All of these animals must be spayed, neutered, vaccinated and receive medical treatment as needed before they can be placed for adoption. Kittens need to be fostered until they are big enough for some of these procedures to even be done.  All of this is costly and fundraisers like this help to defray that additional cost,” Pavlik said.
