Patients and staff at ThedaCare Regional Cancer Center were suprised with the music of Trey McLaughlin & The Sounds of Zamar Wednesday afternoon.
The surprise concert providing an uplifting moment for those fighting cancer.
“It’s beautiful for our patients and our staff to enjoy this,” Mike Jarrett, a Medical Physicist said. “I mean, we’re all helping to fight cancer.”
It’s a fight the group is happy to lend a hand in.
“The message of our music is inspirational so we definetely wanted to use that to inspire people who may need a little bit of enouraging through this difficult time,” Trey McLaughlin said.
Bonnie Fink, an administrative assistant at the cancer center agrees.
“Music is a way to get to people and let them just kind of relax and enjoy,” she said.
It was good for patients and staff alike.
“We’re working as hard as we can to help people,” Jarrett said. “Cancer never takes a day off so we win some and we lose some, but we just keep fighting so every little bit helps.”
