According to Captain Kevin Warych, a cardboard cutout of Green Bay Police Chief Andrew Smith was stolen from the Kwik Trip on East Mason over the weekend.

The irony is the cutouts have been placed around the city to remind shoplifters of the consequences of their crime.

The cutouts were originally placed around Green Bay in the Fall of 2017 as apart of Green Bay’s effort to bring down the yearly rates of shoplifting.

There are various cutouts with different sayings, but most of them read “Win a free ride in a police car by shoplifting from this store.”

If you have any information on who had the sticky fingers, you should contact the Green Bay Police Department.
