City of Appleton Issues Class 1 Snow Emergency

The City of Appleton has issued a Class 1 Snow Emergency that will go into effect at 10:00 pm and will remain in effect until 5 am, Friday, January 25th. 

During the snow emergency, overnight parking is prohibited on all city streets so that crews can clear snow safely. Vehicles in violation will be ticketed and towed. 

They also ask that people avoid driving on city streets until the storm is done and streets have been plowed. 

Crews will be out in the city throughout the evening and will focus on the plowing and salting of the main roads and plowing will begin on the city streets once the storm has ended.
