City of Oconto discharging sewage into Oconto River

Local News

The City of Oconto has released information regarding a sewer system that has reached capacity.

The system on the south side of the City will be temporarily discharged into the Oconto River, near the Collins Avenue bridge.

They have been in contact with the DNR regarding the issue and will remain to do so during the process.

This is not a state of the emergency and is a proactive measure to alleviate a near capacity situation.

Anyone with questions should contact Jeremy Wusterbarth, Superintendent of Public Works at (920)373-2408.
