BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) — Special deals and activities were offered at various businesses in the Brown County area in celebration of Mother’s Day.

The NEW Zoo and Adventure Park in Suamico honored mothers on Sunday, May 12 with free admission.

In addition, mothers received gifts from Wery’s Sweet Summer Bloomers and Seroogy’s Chocolates.  Half-price zip line rides were also available for moms.

Operations Manager of the NEW Zoo and Adventure Park Patricia Jelen said the event is to show mothers appreciation for all they do.

“We’ve got a very strong connection into the community and are well supported by the businesses and the people who live in this community,” Jelen said.  “Everybody has a mom, or we’ve all had moms, and some of us don’t have moms anymore.  We want to say thank you to all the moms out there by offering something special.”

The Mother’s Day celebration continued at the Lambeau Field Atrium with special deals offered throughout the day.

The Packers Hall of Fame offered free admission to their museum.  The Packers Pro Shop gave 15 percent off all merchandise for mothers.

1919 Kitchen and Tap was happy to give mothers a free dessert with the purchase of any entree.

“We love having everybody inside the restaurant and it’s a wonderful thing,” said Nohl Depies, a sous chef at 1919 Kitchen and Tap. “I love serving people and I know we all do here at 1919 Kitchen and Tap.  We love serving everybody and we love making people happy.”
