Convent Finds New Life in Appleton

Local News

A former convent in Appleton is getting renovated and will soon serve as transitional housing for those looking to get back on their feet.

The Home Depot Foundation and local organizations like COTS and Riverview Gardens are helping with the remodel on South Monroe Street.

COTS also operates transitional shelters to help individuals experiencing homelessness and has programs for men, women, youth and veterans.

The convent has more than 30 rooms that are being renovated.

The project is expected to be done the second week of May.
