Local News

BARRON COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) — A new report claims Jake Patterson is refusing to cooperate with his presentence investigation.

According to CBS 58, court documents state Patterson said he was advised by his lawyer not to cooperate. However, it’s unclear how that would impact his sentencing.

In March, Patterson pleaded guilty to abducting Jayme Closs and killing her parents in their Barron home. He now faces up to life in prison.

Patterson is set to be sentenced May 24.
