A crash between two semis in Calumet County this morning created a mess for drivers and led to a secondary crash.
The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office says the first crash took place around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of highways 10 and D in the Town of Woodville. According to deputies a semi traveling south on County D didn’t yield the right-of-way at a stop sign and collided with semi heading west on US 10.
That crash caused traffic to backup west of the incident on US 10 and a car headed east rear-ended a second car, shoving it into an SUV.
Two people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A third person from the first crash was not taken to the hospital. Three people from the secondary crash were treated at the scene.
