UPDATE: Local police officer, deputy performed CPR & resuscitated driver involved in I-41 crash

GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WFRV) – Two local law enforcement officers were able to resuscitate a semi-truck driver after a crash that closed I-41 northbound in Outagamie County for four hours.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, there was a crash between a semi and an SUV in the northbound lanes of I-41 in Grand Chute. Authorities believe that the driver of the semi suffered a medical condition.

A grand Chute Police Officer and an off-duty Outagamie County Sheriff’s Deputy performed CPR on the driver and were able to resuscitate him.

The driver was then taken to a hospital and was last reported alive. The driver of the SUV had non-life-threatening injuries.

The semi was hauling two trailers and ended up in the median.

UPDATE: All lanes reopened on I-41 NB, crashed closed left lane for 4+ hours

GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WFRV) – The crash that closed the left lane of I-41 northbound has been cleared and all lanes are reopened.

According to authorities, the incident was cleared around 11:50 a.m. The incident happened around 7:45 a.m. just north of Gillette Street in Outagamie County.

There was no information on the cause of the accident or if there were any injuries.
