Deadly Car vs. Pedestrian Accident in Sheboygan

The Sheboygan Police Department says it is investigating a deadly car accident involving a Pedestrian.

Police say the crash happened at 11:00 a.m. Monday morning in the southbound lanes of Taylor Dr. just south of Erie Ave.

A vehicle driving southbound hit a person who was walking in the southbound traffic lanes.

Sheboygan Police Officers and Firefighter paramedics performed life-saving measures on scene before taking the victim to St. Nicholas hospital.

However, the victim did not survive.

Officers are withholding the identities of those involved in the crash until the family of the decedent is notified.

The southbound lanes of Taylor Dr. remain closed between Erie Ave and Taylor Heights Frontage Rd. while the scene investigation is taking place.

Southbound traffic is being rerouted onto eastbound Erie Ave.

There may be witnesses who saw this crash but left before they were contacted by police. Anyone who witnessed this crash is asked to contact the Sheboygan Police Department at (920)459-3333.
