UPDATE: HWY 57 reopens in Baileys Harbor after garbage truck slides off road

BAILEYS HARBOR, Wis. (WFRV) — The Door County Sheriff says Highway 57 has reopened after a garbage truck slid off the road and collided with a utility pole.

The incident happened before 9 a.m. Thursday morning.

The Sheriff’s Office closed STH 57 between County Highway Q and Ahrens Road to allow crews to remove the truck.

BAILEYS HARBOR, Wis. (WFRV) — The Door County Sheriff’s Office says a portion of Highway 57 will be closed Thursday morning after a garbage truck struck a utility pole.

Officials say STH 57 between County Highway Q in Baileys Harbor and Ahrens Road will be closed until about 10:30 a.m.

Road conditions are believed to be a contributing factor.
