As runners make their last minute preparations for this Sunday’s marathon, businesses within eyesight of the finish line are getting race-ready too.
“We’re starting off the day with our KEgs and Donuts Feast,” JD Gildemeister, General Manager of Titletown Brewing Co. said. “It’s just a kickoff for the for anyone who’s coming to be a spectator.”
There will also be beer samples at the finish line for race participants of “26 Point Brew,” a beer made special for race day. Sno-Cap Root Beer will be available for runners who don’t like beer.
Root Beer will also be available to racers at the 24th mile of the run, for, “when you need that last two miles to be kicking your butt getting through to the actual end of the race,” Gildemeister explained.
Andrew Huempner, Bar Manager for the Cannery Public Market, says he’s also looking forward to the race crowd.
“The more the merrier, so I’ve got a lot of runners coming here and hopefully they’ll come join us for our brunch,” he said.
