Driver Pronounced Dead After Crashing into Home

A 72-year-old man is dead following a single-vehicle accident in Waushara County on Monday.

According to the Waushara County Sheriff’s Department, the crash happened at 2:13 p.m. on Monday on State Highway 21 in the Town of Aurora. The driver, a 72-year-old man from Coloma, was passing a farm tractor when his truck’s side mirror made contact the tractor’s rear driver’s side tire.

The truck slowly started drifting towards the ditch, then traveled through the ditch and into a home. The man was taken into a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

The Waushara County Sheriff’s Department is continuing to investigate.
