Update: A shed is destroyed in an early morning fire in Sheboygan County.

Firefighters from Greenbush and 18 other communities battled a structure fire for over six hours early Saturday morning.   

Just before 3 Saturday morning, the Town of Greenbush Fire Department was called to a fire in a 40-foot by 80-foot pole barn along Wisconsin State Highway 23 in western Sheboygan County.   

When firefighters arrived, the pole barn was fully engulfed in flames.  

Traffic on State Highway 23 was diverted while firefighters fought the blaze.  The highway reopend just before 10 Saturday moring.

The pole barn and its contents, a tractor, a combine and 250 large straw bales are considered a total loss.

Sheboygan County (WFRV) A section of State Highway 23 in Sheboygan County had to be shut down for several hours early this morning due to a fire.

The fire was called in just before 3 Saturday morning in the Town of Greenbush.

The Sheboygan Fire Department says the fire was reported as fully engulfing the structure which contained equipment. 

Traffic on State Highway 23 had to be diverted to alternate routes.  The highway opened just before 10 Saturday morning.
