Eight of nine passengers of a shuttle have been sent to the hospital after a semi collided with it Sunday night in the Town of Lima.

At 11:36 p.m. at the intersection of County Road V and County Road I, a shuttle of nine people was traveling northbound on CTH I and failed to stop at the stop sign. This lead to an Eastbound semi to collide with it. Nearby power lines were also damaged as a result of the accident.

Although eight people were hospitalized, none of the injuries are suspected to be greater than severe. Meanwhile, the driver of the shuttle was cited for failure to yield right of way from a stop sign.
