Eight Rescued From Fox River After Boat Engine Failure

Local News

Eight people are safe after their boat’s engine shut off near the De Pere lock and dam Sunday night.

According to the De Pere Fire Department, two adults and six kids were on a boating trip when their boat started drifting towards the dam’s spill-way.

A good samaritan on a jet-ski transported those on the boat to shore while another boater came and towed the boat away from the dam.

The boat came very close to the edge of the dam, before being rescued.
