280 middle school students from Green Bay are feeling empowered thanks to the Green Bay Packers.
The Green Bay Packers hosted their 5th annual “Empower”, January 16th and tomorrow, January 17th.
Speakers and activities at the event helped students feel empowered, encourage and inspired to create positiveness in their homes, schools and communities.
Amanda Wery, the Community Outreach Senior Coordinator for the Green Bay Packers was there to help the girls during the leadership event,
“Their “I will” statements started today, it was really just that point in which they’re going to take that goal, that they set and then over the next couple months work on accomplishing that goal; maybe retooling that goal and then we’re going to have them come back in May and see what progress has been made.”
140 girls and boys were selected to take part in the event.
