Fire at Green Bay tire recycling plant

Local News

Green Bay (WFRV) A fire at a tire recycling plant in Green Bay causes $10-thousand-dollars in damage.

The green Bay Fire Department was called to Bay Enviro Tire on Tomlin Street just after 1:30 Saturday Morning.
Tire waste was burning in a tire shredder hopper.
Fire department officials say lessons they learned from a previous fire at the building helped them fight this fire.
A private hydrant that was not working hampered operations.  The fire was out within a half hour.
A manager at the business said they would be able to open for business as usual.
