Earlier this evening the Campbellsport Fire Department was dispatched to N3398 Chapel Heights Road in the Township of Osceola for reports of a large structure fire in the woods.
The fire happened at the Chapel at Camp Vista. When a firefighter arrived at the scene, the building was fully engulfed and the roof was beginning to collapse.
Additional manpower and water was brought to the scene and because of the severity of the fire, everything was destroyed.
There were no occupants or pets in the building at the time.
They were on scene for nearly five hours. No firefighters were were injured in the blaze.
The fire is currently under investigation by the fire department and the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.
Campbellsport Fire Department was assisted by fire departments from Eden, Kewaskum, Lomira, Brownsville, Beechwood, St. Cloud, Mt. Calvary, Cascade, and the departments of RIT District #3 and RIT District #4.
