SLINGER, Wis. (WFRV) – For nine hours both directions of I-41 were closed as authorities and crews tried to clear the scene of a fatal crash that involved 30 vehicles.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, on April 21 around 11:30 a.m. multiple crashes and slide-offs happened on I-41 near Slinger.
One of the crashes involved an estimated 30 vehicles and resulted in one fatality. A 37-year-old woman from Trenton, Tennessee died and six others were transported to a local hospital, according to authorities.
The Wisconsin State Patrol’s Technical Crash Reconstruction Unit was on the scene.
I-41 was closed going in both directions for approximately nine hours. The crash happened between WIS 28 and WIS 60 and currently remains under investigation.

(WFRV) – The Wisconsin State Patrol’s Fond du Lac Post is responding to multiple reported crashes along I-41 just south of Fond du Lac.
According to authorities, there are multiple crashes in Washington and Dodge Counties. According to the DOT’s website, there are closures near Kohlsville and Slinger
