In an effort to encourage conversations about the treatment and detection of breast cancer, the Village of Fox Crossing is going pink.

According to the Fox Crossing Police Department, it will be changing the squad design slightly, as well as making some unique uniform modifications, like pink bracelets and pens, during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month all October.

The “Thin Blue Line” striping on squad cars will change to pink and officers may voluntarily wear pink t-shirts under their uniform shirts.

FCPD says the items were all purchased by officers’ contributions to the Fox Crossing Police Benevolent Association.
