FREEDOM, Wis. (WFRV) - The Field of Scenes Drive-In Movie Theater in Freedom is being put up for sale.
According to the theater’s Facebook page, the owners are selling their 11.5 acre lot, which includes their digital screen, sports bar and restaurant.
Taylor Vande Wettering was seven years old when his father built the theater.
"I couldn't ask for a better childhood, to grow up and do it as a family business," he told Local 5. "I was scooping popcorn at seven, you know, [by] probably about 15 or 16 I was running the movies, so yeah, it's going to be different when I don't have this, that's for sure."
The Field of Scenes Drive-In Movie Theater was established in 2003 and has been owned by the same family since.
The theater is expected to stay open for the remainder of the season.
