The Green Bay Gamblers raised $35,000 for disabled veterans in their 6th Annual Military Night Saturday.

Local 5’s Steve Dent, a veteran, dropped the puck during the opening ceremony. The Gamblers say they had a season-high crowd of 4,363 people in the 5-4 win over the Sioux Falls Stampede. The money raised goes to the local chapter of Disabled American Veterans. The team says the D.A.V. will be buying a new transport vehicle with the money.

Along with each goal scored on Saturday night, 26 businesses and individuals donated $100.00 through the Goals for the Military promotion.
