Garden and Give! Towne Lakes Residents Can Donate Grown Produce to Salvation Army

Towne Lakes Resident Gardens

While the season of giving traditionally runs through December, Towne Lakes Apartments in Grand Chute is extending the caring spirit into spring and summer.

Towne Lakes, known by its residents for being incredibly community focused, is starting a donation drive to help the Salvation Army Fox Cities, however, it’s not your run-of-the-mill food drive.

Green thumb residents who choose to rent the $30 garden plot can donate fresh produce from their garden to the Salvation Army.

Sean Cundy, Property Manager of Towne Lakes Apartments,

“We’re always looking for new and inventive ways to bring the Towne Lakes community together.

Each year, Towne Lakes hosts annual resident appreciation events including a pool party, Halloween party, and started a contest last year pitting all of the local Fox Valley pizza chains against each other with the Towne Lakes residents as the judge for ‘Best Pizza in Town’.”

Towne Lakes, built in 2002, has nearly 500 apartment homes featuring in-home full-size washers and dryers, landlord-paid heat and water, a lakefront patio or balcony, and kitchens fully equipped with dishwashers.

The community also has an outdoor pool, gym, dog park, grilling areas, and yes…gardens.

Gardening begins on May 1st and lasts through November 1st.
