The Wisconsin Humane Society, Green Bay and Door County Campus’ have seen a surge of animals this summer and they recently received a large donation match from the George Kress Family Foundation.
They will match every dollar donated to both campuses, up to $100,000.
On average, WHS typically cares for 900 animals who require many kinds of treatment, from vaccinations to lifesaving surgery.
Marketing Coordination, Lori Nachtwey, at WHS Green Bay Campus said, “This opportunity couldn’t have come at a better time. Right now, the shelters are bursting at the seams with cats and dogs, as intake always spikes in the warmer months.”
