Grand Chute company set to close by the end of December

A Grand Chute company that’s been around for more than 30 years is closing, forcing the layoffs of 52 workers.

In a company statement, U.S. Paper Converters announced that all affected employees have been notified that the facility, located on Converters Drive, will be closing.

It gave December 31st as the date the company will close its doors.

The Bay Area Workforce Development Board Rapid Response Team is reportedly working with the affected employees.
