Grand Chute expansion brings restaurant chains, hotels

Local News

GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WFRV) — If you’ve been through the Grand Chute area recently, you may have noticed a lot of construction happening.

Multiple hotels are under construction, including a Home2Suites by Hilton is opening up later this spring and the new 82-room Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriot is being built across the Fox River Mall on Nicolet Road.

Oh Snap! Pickling Company also broke ground on a new 76,000 square foot production facility and a proposed site for the country’s largest consumer co-op REI will be considered by the town next month.

Also of great interest is chain restaurants including P.F. Chang and the very first Chick-fil-A in Northeast Wisconsin.

Pam Seidl the Executive Director of Fox Cities Convention & Visitor Bureau says;

“One of the key factors in attracting some of those national chains is the addition of venues like the one the new Community First Champions Center Fox Cities.”

But it’s just not the new venue that is playing a role, the Fox River Mall continues to attract new business and despite some recent departures, the mall has plenty yet in store for 2019.
