Locals buckled up their life jackets to participate in Safe Boating Week Saturday.
The Coast Guard and Coast Guard Auxiliary Station in Green Bay opened it’s doors for its annual open house to kick off the week of attention to safety on the water.
Guests could tour the station and newest boats and meet Coast Guard members.
They could also participate in activities to support Safe Boating and learn about the importance of getting your boat checked out and wearing a life jacket.
Boaters also got to bring their boats along to the Metro Boat Launch for a courtesy vessel safety exam.
