Move over Appleton, Green Bay has topped this year’s list of “The Drunkest Cities in America.”

The website 24/7 Wall St. put out its annual article listing the drunkest cities.

Last year, Appleton topped the list, but Green Bay came in first with 26.5% of metro area adults reporting that they drink excessively or binge drink on a regular basis.

The website says that  the Green Bay metro area is one of only five nationwide where over half of all deadly car accidents involve alcohol. In comparison, 30% of driving deaths nationwide involve alcohol.

For the second year in a row Wisconsin topped all states on 24/7 Wall St.’s 20 Drunkest Cities list with Green Bay at the top of the list at #1, Eau Claire #2, Appleton #3, Madison #4, Oshkosh #6, Wausau #9 La Crosse #10, Fond du Lac #12, Sheboygan #15 and Milwaukee #20.
