Green Bay Police investigating shots fired at west side home

Local News

GREEN BAY, Wis (WFRV) The Green Bay Police Department is investigating shots fired at a home in the 600 block of 11th Avenue just after 9:30 p.m. Wednesday on the city’s west side.

Officers found several spent shell casings in the roadway and damage consistent to bullet holes on one home on the street.

“What a cowardly thing to do,” said Chief Andrew Smith during his Community Update on Local 5 This Morning. “You come up to somebody’s house and just start shooting bullets into the house? We had a series of these last year that occurred between two groups of youngsters that were angry with each other. Unfortunately this time, there were children inside of the house. What a dangerous thing to do.”

Nobody was injured and there’s no word on a suspect at this time.
