Greenville Sewer Leak Contained

Local News

A sanitary sewer leak was reported in the Town of Greenville Tuesday morning.

The leak was detected at approximately 7:30 a.m. and was fully contained around 10:00 a.m.

The leak was found near lift station #1 at the corner of Municipal Drive (STH 76) and Everglade Road.

City officials tell Local 5 a limited amount of overflow was experienced due to a small break in a joint along the sanitary sewer force main.

“The Town of Greenville Sanitary District #1 personnel have responded to the incident, and have contained the overflow to limit the harm to the public and environment.”

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has been notified.
