Gun Incident Leads to Arrest

Local News

The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael McVey on the charge of Recklessly Endangering Safety.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, a 911 call came in on June 4th saying a man had pointed a gun at the caller.

The caller told police that a white male in his 20’s followed him into his driveway and began swearing at him before pulling a gun.

As police were en route, another 911 caller near HWY 147/Ridge Rd stated someone was after him.

Deputies responded to the location and found a vacant car matching the description of the vehicle from the original call.

According to officials, a person found exiting a wooded area was identified as the same one who pointed a gun at the first caller.

The weapon was located and the man, identified as Michael McVey, was booked into Manitowoc County Jail.

McVey appeared at a Bail Hearing on the 5th where he posted the $2,500 bail and was released.
