Happening now: Crime scene tape at Green Bay residence

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Two people who police described as an ‘estranged couple’ were both found dead inside a Green Bay residence Monday morning.

According to the Green Bay Police Department, two people were found dead inside a residence in the 800 block of 3rd Street. Two other people who were not injured were also found.

Officials say that the two people that were found dead were an estranged couple. The two were not living together at the 3rd Street residence.

The public is not believed to be in any danger from this incident. The investigation is ongoing, and both the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Green Bay Metro Fire Department are assisting.

The Green Bay Police Department wanted to remind the community that there are many services in the area that can help anyone that finds themselves in an abusive relationship.

“Every time a tragedy like this occurs, it impacts our entire community. For people experiencing domestic violence, there are resources available to help. No one should have to live in fear for their safety,” said Police Chief Chris Davis.

UPDATE: Green Bay PD confirms suspicious death, investigation ongoing

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Green Bay Police Department has given Local 5 an update on why so many first responders are at the 800 block of 3rd Street.

According to officers, they are currently investigating a suspicious death investigation.

They go on to add that there is no immediate threat to the public and it is too early in the investigation to say much more.

Local 5 will update this article when the department releases additional information.
