(WFRV) – Neenah Menasha Fire Rescue has released additional information regarding the fire that happened at the Neenah Foundry.
According to the Neenah Menasha Fire Rescue Chief, crews were called around 10 a.m. for a fire alarm. When they arrived on the scene they found heavy black smoke coming from the south side of the building, they found the fire started in the basement. The fire has been contained as of 4 o’clock Tuesday evening according to the Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue’s Facebook.
The fire had spread to three additional floors and the fire crews issued a three-box alarm bringing in departments throughout the Fox Valley. They are not sure how the fire started at this time.
According to the Fire Chief, crews were working on all three levels but the basement is very hot due to the fire. No one has been reported injured as of now.
Fire crews have left the scene as the fire has been fully extinguished. New details regarding the incident is expected to be released on Wednesday, October 6.

According to their Facebok page, they are at the Neenah Foundry. They are asking the public to avoid the area at this time.
