MENASHA, Wis. (WFRV) – All residents of Oakridge Gardens Nursing Home are accounted for after a fire Thursday evening.

According to the Fox Crossing Fire Chief, crews were called just after 4 p.m. About 10 minutes after arriving on scene, the fire had spread to the roof in the west wing.

Fox Crossing requested additional assistance from Appleton, Neenah-Menasha, Harrison and Grand Chute Fire Departments as well.

Most residents were taken to the Regeneration Hmong Ministry down the road while a few others were taken to a local hospital.

According to the Fire Chief, crews were able to contain most of the damage to the west wing of the building.

Crews are expected to be on scene into the evening.
