Holiday Bingo Extravaganza Raises Money for Homeless Animals

Local News

Grab your dauber and your good luck charms, because the best bingo tournament to benefit homeless animals is here. The Wisconsin Humane Society Green Bay Campus presents their Second Annual Holiday Bingo Extravaganza on November 8, 2018, at the Riverside Ballroom in Green Bay

Marketing Coordinator Lori Nachtwey stopped by Local 5 This Morning with one of the animals the shelter is helping find a home, Vico.

Vico was a stray that was hit by a car in the Howard-Suamico area. Some gracious bystanders saw the incident and rushed the animal over to the Green Bay Animal Referral Center (GBARC) because it was after hours. GBARC took care of him overnight and then he was transferred over to the Wisconsin Humane Society Green Bay Campus. He has healed well from his lacerations and bruises he had and is doing much better now.

“Unfortunately, no one came to claim him during his stray hold, so he will now be available for adoption soon. He still needs to be neutered, but we are thinking probably by the end of the week or so,” Lori said.

The Holiday Bingo Extravaganza helps animals just like Vico who are looking for a home. 100 percent of the proceeds go right back to the shelter.

Tickets are $50 for individuals or $80 per couple. (Please note this event is for individuals 18 and older.)

  • Tickets include:
    • Chicken buffet dinner.
    • Bingo booklet for 10 games (3 sheets each game) with possibility to win a prize!
    • Bingo Dauber

Doors open at 5:00 pm and bingo starts at 6:30 p.m. There will be a cash bar available. Other activities throughout the night include bucket, 50/50 and booze raffles, as well as, a fun photo station! To find out more information and to register, please visit wihumane.org/greenbay.

The Wisconsin Humane Society Green Bay Campus sees animals every day who have been injured, abandoned, and neglected, with nowhere else to turn. Support for events like the Holiday Bingo Extravaganza enable them to continue their promise to provide lifesaving care to those animals who need it most and to give every animal in the adoption program as long as it takes to find their new home. All proceeds from this event support our work in Green Bay and Brown County.

The event is made possible thanks to the following sponsors: Fox Communities Credit Union, Baytek Games, Lin-Law, LLC, State Farm agent Tiona Petrouske, and Nature’s Way.
