Joannes Park welcoming summer season with Park Perks

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) — What better way to start summer than with a party?

The 2nd Annual Park Perks Summer Kickoff Party is Thursday, May 16th beginning at 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. This seasonal celebration is a free family-friendly event being held at Joannes Park.  

This event is being sponsored by Green Bay Parks, Recreation and Forestry, Green Bay Area Public School District Food Service, Wello, and the Hunger Task Force. There will be complimentary tacos provided by the Green Bay Area Public School District Food Service Department to children ages one to 18.  Adults over 18, can purchase tacos for just $3. Dinner will be served and you are recommended to bring a lawn chair or blanket for the limited available seating. 

Other perks include: parks RX program giveaways, children games and activities, Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary animals, music, and more.
