Junior Achievement Wisconsin Announces New Center Focusing on Careers and Financial Literacy

Local News

Today, several local organizations came together to support Junior Achievements efforts to help youth find a career they would enjoy.

Junior Achievement Wisconsin – Winnebago Region, along with Community First Credit Union and Fox Valley Technical College are helping to expand career exploration programming and financial literacy through new center called The Career Exploration and Financial Literacy Education Center at Fox Valley Tech.

This center will have hands on learning for students to explore different careers and find what they are passionate about. Another component is for 4th and 5th graders to run a town called Biz Town, where they would be assigned rolls and make decisions in an afternoon on how to run the town.

The new center will be open in the fall of 2019 and will be open to almost 15,000 students a year to use.
