Kathleen Zellner, Steven Avery’s lawyer, says she filed a new motion in his appeal Monday.
Zellner tweeted this, saying the 54-page motion includes 20 new exhibits.
A judge denied Avery’s request for a new trial earlier this month.
Avery was convicted of killing Teresa Halbach in 2007. The Chilton photographer was just 25. The case became one of the most high-profile murders in Wisconsin history after Netflix released a docu-series called “Making a Murderer” that called the guilty verdicts into question.
