Tuesday morning, Kewaunee County dairy farmers are holding a press conference at 8:15 a.m. at Kinnard Farms to discuss “commitment to agriculture, a healthy environment, and the broader community,” after concerns of their farms negatively impacting the environment in the area. The press conference of agriculture supporters is the first of its kind for the area.
After the press conference, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is holding hearings for 5 CAFOs (Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations) in the area that are looking to expand. The meetings start at the Kewaunee County Land and Water Conservation Department offices in Luxemburg at 10 a.m.
