Kroger to Phase Out Plastic Bags by 2025

Supermarket chain Kroger has announced that they will phase out single-use plastic bags in all of its stores by 2025.

Kroger owns several grocery stores throughout the nation, including the Wisconsin chain – Pick ‘n Save.

Kroger will begin to transition to using reusable bags for their customers. They’ve also set a goal to redirect 90% of their waste from landfills by 2020.

Along with Kroger, several other major corporations have announced plans to reduce the use of plastic -including Disney, Starbucks, and McDonalds.
