Lambeau Field announced its new food menu for the upcoming Packers season, and it includes a lot of Wisconsin favorites as well as some more surprising choices.
The selection includes a variety of brats, loaded nachos, a black forest ham sandwich, a steak sandwich, a maple bacon wrapped hot dog, and for dessert: churros.
Coming up with a menu with that kind of variety starts when the Pack’s season ends.
“We take a few months in the off season, we really try to get it firmed up by June or July,” Lambeau Field Executive Chef Heath Barbato said. “We have visits with our sponsors and we kind of go back and forth and we really just have fun with it.”
The food is not all that ‘s new at Lambeau Field this year.
The MashGin Grab-and-Go, a self check out device, will be located in Section 326.
It will allow patrons to check out pre-packaged food and drink items without waiting for a cashier.
“Fans want quicker lines,” Logan Hendricks, Marketing Manager for Delaware North said, “and this definitely speeds up the speed of service.”
The MashGin Grab-and-Go is also on trial at other stadiums in the region, and if it proves to be a success, Hedricks says Lambeau Field could see more of the devices in the years to come.
