Late Night Fire Forces Four Out of Home

Four people are out of their homes following a Sunday night fire on Velp Avenue.

At around 10:30 p.m., the Green Bay Metro Fire Department was called to the home on the 1200 block of Velp Avenue. Fire crews found heavy fire in the attack and the second floor and All four people living there were evacuated before crews arrived. One firefighter was taken to the ER as a result of the fire, but was later released.

The Fire Department estimates the house’s damage at $50,000.
