Laundry Bags Catch Fire at Bay Towel in Ashwaubenon

Nobody was injured after Bay Towel in Ashwaubenon caught fire just before 12:30 Saturday morning. 

Officials responded to Bay Towel for a fire alarm and noticed heavy smoke inside the business. 

The fire was located in an area of suspended laundry bags that were attached to a conveyer system as part of a laundry process. 

Officials were able to quickly extinguished and the building was then ventilated of the smoke. 

There is an estimated $5,000 in damages. 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
