Local family reacts to DACA decision. Tuesday night Juan Saldana enjoys a living room filled with family. Juan left his village in Mexico as a child and joined the DACA program five years ago. Thanks to the program he now is able to provide properly for his family as well as legally drive a car.
The Department of Justice’s announced the removable of The DACA Program and this has Juan concerned. Juan has only has 3 months remaining on his DACA permit.
The program removal announcement came on the deadline given by 10 Republican Attorneys General -including Wisconsin’s ” Imagine people who come here to live the American Dream and I’m one of them,” Saldana said.
A meeting is planned for Wednesday evening at Casa Alba in Green Bay to discuss those impacted in Northeastern Wisconsin.
